About me

Contrary to what its URL may suggest, this blog isn't about being French. In fact I've been accused of not really being French because I don't like wine and I don't cook random amazing French meals. I guess fighting stereotypes is just my jam.

I'm a PhD student in the UK and the plan is to write about that. I also want to write about other topics that interest me and have shaped me. That said, my last attempt at a blog started with marveling over discovering English culture. The last entry is about how I went to the A&E with a friend and her baby and he had diarrhea all over me. So it isn't like I have a great track record. We'll have to see how it goes.

Things that scare me

People who take themselves very seriously scare me.
I'm not too fond of spicy food.
When I try to be funny and no one realises.
I'm afraid I can be slightly inconsistent in my use of punctuation.

Things that don't scare me

I enjoy using bottled ink.
Sometimes I don't finish my sentences, and I don't mind.
I can listen to the same song over and over again for days.
